After the tremendous success of the first ever Blind Walk that took place in Bangalore on August 24th, 2014 from the Metro station on M.G.Road to Bal Bhavan in Cubbon Park, the second unique walk took place from Id Gar Masjid to Christha Prabhalaya Church in Jayanagar.

Targeted towards a humanitarian cause, leaders across religions took part in the walk to send a message to their communities on the dire need to donate eyes so that the visually impaired have an opportunity to see. The second Blind Walk was part of the efforts to create awareness about blindness and eye donation during the National eye donation fortnight.

Mr. Syed Sadath Ulla, Secretary - Id Gar Masjid, Jayanagar, Fr Arul Raj Sampath, Parish Priest - Christha Prabhalaya Church, Jayanagar, Dr Nagendra Prasad representing the Jain Community and Mr Rangarajan representing Art of Living flagged off the walk.

The walk culminated at the Christha Prabhalaya Church with a pledge to donate eyes taken by the Arch Bishop of Bangalore, Bernard Moras and Jadatguru Chandrashekharanatha Swamiji, Vokkalingara Mahasamsthanaalong with the other leaders and hundreds of volunteers who participated in large numbers.

Visually Challenged children from the Shri Ramana Maharishi Academy for the Blind performed at an enthralling cultural program. Y’s Men International Millennium Club, Bangalore was the partners.
